DIVORCE, STRESS AND EXERCISE
by Raymond Pater

It is generally known that exercise may reduce stress and even reduce the severity or onset of depression.   Divorce causes stress; exercise may reduce stress and increase emotional wellbeing.

I found the following exercise routine (that only lasts 7 minutes) to be excellent. Chris Jordan of the Human Performance Institute in Orlando, Fla., and co-author of an article on the 7 minute exercise plan states: “There’s very good evidence” that high-intensity interval training provides ‘many of the fitness benefits of prolonged endurance training but in much less time.”’

Read about the 7 Minute Workout.

Although the exercise routine is intensive, it only lasts 7 minutes and seems to offer a lot of benefits.   As with any new exercise routine, it should probably be done only after consulting with your medical doctor. Not using the right posture when exercising may be harmful.  The proper form for the exercises in the 7 minute routine are shown at this link.

An app for the 7 minute workout is available here for Android devices.

An app for IPhones is available here.

At your computer, please visit the web site, or watch the video here, or on YouTube

Don't overdo it the first few times.  Take it slow or you may regret it.

Send me an email if you want to share your results with the workout.  Here’s hoping that you found this article worthwhile.  Best wishes that you may find reduced stress and tension.
